The Sibling Impact

If i ask anybody who have siblings they'd say that for them siblings are as close to them as are their hands and feet. Not that I'm comparing siblings to hands and feet but just that i couldn't find a better comparison. By the way just to let you all know who are reading this that the previous line was meant to be humorous and i guess it was a bad attempt.

Anyways, not deviating from the topic, I always feel that it is a blessing to have a sibling whether be it an elder one or younger. An elder sibling is always by your side and always provides a solution to your problems just like a doctor is to a patient. A younger one always provides you with somebody fun to be with and someone who can always lighten up your mood.

But having a sibling can also be a curse at times or at least that is what I have heard from my friends. I have heard that with siblings they always have had to share things and though 'Sharing is Caring', for them they wouldn't definitely DARE to SHARE and also wouldn't CARE how the opposite person felt as they feel they're always deprived of things. There is also this misconception that the parents always tend to love the younger ones more than the elder ones. And this prolonged misconception generally comes from the elder sibling in the family.

Despite listing the Pro's and Con's of having siblings, I personally feel unhappy on being the only child. Looking at my other friends(those who have siblings) I feel similar to how a software engineer would feel without a computer. At times I become so evil just like the joker in Batman and feel that if I would have had a sibling I would have to share stuff with him/her but without them i get everything I want. But its when you're lonely and need either a shoulder to cry on or a helping hand, when u realise the true worth and value of having a sibling.

So to all you guys out there who have siblings, never consider them as a burden to your life or feel inferior to them or even feel that they're given more importance than you are. Its the same parents who have given birth to you and your sibling. So, enjoy and cherish each and every moment you spend with your siblings.
